All,

here is a list of supposedly iconic photographs (for those who haven't
had id forwareded to, yet), including Paul McCartney's Rolleiflex
selfie - I'll leave it to the experts to figure out which model. ;)

The 2.8D and 2.8E don't have the F&H logo on the viewfinder. The 2.8F
has the logo and John Lennon's Rolleiflex has the logo and it has
lightmeter too, there is no doubt it's a 2.8F.-
I'd like to add something: I talked about a 2.8F and not a 3.5F
because when you put the lens hood on the 3.5F taking lens, the lens
hood rim does not cover the entire area surrounding the lens bayonet
ring ("Franke & Heidecke, Synchro- Compur"), allowing to see this
area edges. In the other hand, the BIII lens hood rim covers the
entire area surrounding the lens bayonet ring and you can only see the
lens hood rim, it looks the case for John Lennon's camera.

I enlarged Paul McCartney's image and noticed the camera
does not have lightmeter and it is not prepared to receive a
lightmeter, it couldn't be a 28E, it's an older model, it's a
Rolleiflex 2.8D, the first 2.8/80 with EVS. I was seeing if the model
was not a WA (it is not) and forgot about the lightmeter

The 2.8D and 2.8E don't have the F&H logo on the viewfinder. The 2.8F
has the logo and John Lennon's Rolleiflex has the logo and it has
lightmeter too, there is no doubt it's a 2.8F.-
